The town and fortress resisted all sorts of enemies, disasters, whether human or natural. It si worth to mention that people are still living in the village surrounding the castle.

Tesanj
Old fortress in Tesanj, is the biggest fortification in the country. Tesanj fort is considered a national treasure and a historical monument. Exact dates of construction are unknown but the fort was later enhanced by Roman, Slav and Ottoman forces. The fort has been primarily a defensive fortification. During Ottomans period of rule in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Tesanj castle held a permanent army.

Vranduk ist eine relativ kleine Festung mit Museum (3 Etagen), interessant war auch der Weg zur Festung. Im Hof der Festung war Bogenschießen möglich. Vor der Burg gesellte sich eine Katze zu uns welche uns durch die ganze Burg und das Museum begleitete. Im Museum findet man auch eine Ahnentafel der bosnischen Könige.
Die Festung Tešanj ist um einige Größer als Vranduk. Die Festung wurde immer wieder erweitert und man hat eine sehr schöne Aussicht von der Festung.
Auch diese Tour ist sehr interessant.

Very informative and pleasant guide/driver. I truly enjoyed the narrations and journey. The only thing is that the programme has only two spots to visit. It would be better if there are some interesting things in between to visit or to do.
