The Srebrenica town and its massacre, also known as the Srebrenica genocide, is the place where the July 1995 massacre happened. More than 8,000 Bosniaks ware killed there during the Bosnian war, mainly men and boys, in and around the town of Srebrenica.
The Sutjeska National Park is Bosnia and Herzegovina's oldest national park. The park is also famous as being the location of the Battle of the Sutjeska in 1943 during World War II and a home to Perućica, an primeval forest, one of the last two remaining ancient forests in Europe.
